It won't be *official* for another two or three hours but it's pretty much a done deal. Nikon is announcing the D7000, a new 'prosumer' camera that is slotted in between the D300s and the D90. Interesting projected features include:
- Magnesium-alloy Body (Like the D300s and other pro bodies)
- 100% viewfinder (wish my D700 had that...)
- Totally new 39 point AF system
- 1080p video at 24p (other video resolution and frame rate specs hazy)
- 20 minute video clips
- Stereo mic input (it's like Nikon read my mind)
- 6 fps
- Dual SD card slots
- A bunch of other stuff...
The SB-700 is just a baby SB-900. Nice but not mind blowing. Expect another post as soon as all of the official info is up for grabs (like prices perhaps).
I'll brb.
